Quyuande steamed bun
This also directly led to my later trip to Yangzhou. Except punching cards in Slender West Lake, daming temple and Dongguan Street, I spent the rest of my time indulging in all kinds of steamed buns, giving myself no chance to know Yangzhou. Speaking of Yangzhou, I realized that steamed buns are delicious and a proper dry packer.
On second thought, as a travel editor, I am too superficial. In order to get rid of the suspicion of the contractor and show you Yangzhou outside the steamed stuffed bun, I decided to go out and have a look (of course, I set off after breakfast in the fun garden, which was delicious).
temple of daming
This is my third visit to Yangzhou. Slender West Lake is draining and dredging, so there is nothing to see. In addition, everyone who comes to Yangzhou will definitely punch in the Slender West Lake, and I don't have much introduction, pass.
However, the Slender West Lake in different seasons is still beautiful.
In addition to Slender West Lake, Dongguan Street is bound to be visited by tourists. However, once it is determined that its essence is nothing more than Kuanzhai Lane in Chengdu and Nanluoguxiang in Beijing, it will be boring.
Dongguan street
However, we have to admit that the charm of Yangzhou City lies in these old streets in Gu Xiang. I want to find a place that not only preserves the charm of Yangzhou ancient town, but also is not too boring and commercialized. On the recommendation of friends in Yangzhou, I went to Pishi Street.
Pishi Street was formed in the Qing Dynasty, because in the early days, this street mainly dealt in leather goods. Today, there are no fur shops in this street, but mottled old houses and streets paved with bluestones have been preserved to this day.
Although it is just across the street, it is different from the bustling scene of Dongguan Street full of tourists, and it is more lively. Local people riding battery cars, old artists on the roadside, and antique grocery stores, well, this is the most correct way to open Yangzhou in my heart.
Although the temperature was very low in the two days I went, the sun was fine and there was no wind. Everyone in the street is walking slowly, and the afternoon sunshine casts a mottled shadow on the bluestone road through the shade. It is really comfortable.
As a person who grew up in Chengdu, I can't help sighing that Yangzhou is slow. No wonder the ancients gave a ranking of "Yang Yier" early.
Of course, I chose this street for another reason. There are many interesting small shops hidden in this street, such as independent bookstores, cafes, grocery stores and flower shops. It is the most literary street in Yangzhou.
Bian Cheng Bookstore
Enter from the north gate of Pishi Street and walk along the stone road for dozens of meters. On the right hand side, you will see a bookstore with various stones piled at the door. This is the Border Town Bookstore.
Pull open the quaint wooden door and enter another world. My eyes are full of all kinds of ancient books, scattered on wooden bookshelves.
The manager of Border Town Bookstore is Wang Jun, and everyone respectfully calls him Mr. Wang. Although Mr. Wang looks very young, he has been engaged in the restoration of ancient books for more than ten years. I spend most of my time collecting and restoring ancient books, and I am also a non-genetic inheritor of Yangzhou's ancient book restoration.
In addition to personal collections, ancient books with academic value will be donated to relevant institutions after repair, and other parts will be made into cultural and creative products and enter the homes of ordinary people.
Ancient book lampshade
Before I came, I only knew that this was an old bookstore. I didn't expect these old books to be so "old", and ancient books of all ages can be seen everywhere.
Speaking of rising, Mr. Wang took out his collection of ancient books from the cupboard and showed them to me. The age, typesetting, font and content of each book are rare, and I can't touch them at all. I think Mr. Wang is glowing all over.
I have always been full of respect for people who can stick to their hobbies and support themselves at the same time. I hope I can find such a direction in life one day and stick to it.

Fushengji bookstore
Border Town Bookstore continued to walk a few tens of meters south, passing a shop with a red curtain at the door, on which the word "Yangzhou" was written.
Opening the curtain is a couplet of "making a fortune in silence or rowing", which makes people smile.
Bookstore owner Hang Shuzhi, also known as Tree Shopkeeper, loves traveling, has traveled to dozens of countries and regions, and likes photography. The original intention of opening the store is: "Taipei has Eslite, San Francisco has City Light books, Beijing has one-way street, and Nanjing has pioneers. Every city should have a cultural landmark belonging to young people, and we are willing to be the one in Yangzhou. "
Unlike those fancy independent bookstores, it is more like a place to read. The tree shopkeeper put all the books brought back from all over the world on the shelves and piled them in every corner for everyone to read.
The two rooms next door are our own cafes. Call me slow. Coffee is cheap. The words "study hard at four o'clock" are printed on the glass facing the street. There are two or three tables in the room, which is more like a reading room.
A cup of coffee, a book, a plain and poetic life, maybe so.

Woman grocery
This shop is diagonally opposite to the story of a floating life, and it is also opened by the same owner. The old brick house is painted white, and the word "slow" on the roof is probably a signboard.
There is a wooden stool at the door, which looks like a Japanese street outside.
"I am slow" means patience in Japanese. There are many gadgets from Japan in the shop, and there are many kinds of kitten ornaments.
Because of the same boss as Six Chapters of a Floating Life, there are a lot of cultural and creative products of Six Chapters of a Floating Life for sale in my slow grocery store, which is still worth visiting on the whole.

Amo.
Open a coffee shop next to the story of floating life, and put a chair at the door. The afternoon sunshine is so beautiful that people want to go in and sit.
It's a coffee shop, but it's actually a head store, but all kinds of fancy ice cream are delicious and beautiful.
There are many strange trinkets in the shop. Looking up, there are several transparent pipes overhead. It turned out to be a playground built by the boss for loving cats, which is grandiose and lovely.
Two fat cats are playing inside.
I found that small shops in Yangzhou always have a magical power. Whenever you feel full, suddenly there will be some small warmth of grounding gas, which really makes you feel good.

This clear mountain house was recommended by a friend. In Dingjiawan, south of Pishi Street. Go straight from the stone archway in Dingjiawan. The door is inconspicuous, and you will miss it if you are not careful.
A pot of tea, two small cups and some refreshments. And coffee, of course. When I went, the clerk was taking a cup test and invited me to taste several different flavors of coffee beans.
The sunshine in the evening is very beautiful, the teahouse is full of golden sunshine, and there is a small courtyard in the middle of the yard, which is covered with Japanese-style dead trees and flowing water, and the years are quiet.
Dingjiawan is the base of Yangzhou aborigines. There are many luxury houses of salt merchants gathered here, and there are also interesting shops in old streets and alleys. If you have time, it is worthwhile to spend time shopping.
