Who is Huang Ruiyun?

Huang Ruiyun was born in Loudi, Hunan in 1932. He graduated from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature of Wuhan University in 1958 and taught at Hubei Institute of Education. In the 1980s, he served as deputy dean of Hubei Normal University. In 1987, he was promoted to professor and became a master's tutor. In 1989, he was named a model worker in the national education system and received the "People's Teacher Medal". In 1991, he began to enjoy the "Special Government Allowance" of the State Council.

Huang Ruiyun is a member of the Chinese Writers Association. Since the 1980s, he has served as the vice president of the Hubei Classical Literature Society, the vice president of the Qu Yuan Society of Hubei Province, the vice president of the Hubei Water Margin Society, the director of the Hubei Writers Association, and the chairman of the Huangshi Writers Association. He is currently a director of the Chinese Poetry Society, vice president of the Chinese Fable Research Society, honorary director of the Chinese Qu Yuan Research Society, vice president of the Hubei Poetry Society, and honorary chairman of the Huangshi Writers Association. Huang Ruiyun is engaged in teaching and researching Chinese classical literature. He also studies philosophy and exegesis, and is engaged in literary creation in his spare time. He has published more than 50 academic papers, more than 60 artistic essays, more than 40 new poems, more than 300 traditional poems, more than 500 fables, and more than 100 humorous works.
