The Convention for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage was formally signed in Paris on1October 23rd. It is an international convention formulated by UNESCO to protect the common heritage of all mankind.
The birth of the Convention marks the enhancement of global awareness of the protection of cultural and natural heritage, and at the same time provides a platform for cooperation and exchanges among member States to make joint efforts to protect these irreplaceable heritages. Today, this convention is still the basic document in the field of world heritage protection, which constantly inspires the whole world to make greater efforts to protect culture and natural environment.
