What are the representative elements of the Tang Dynasty?

1, poetry

There are various forms of Tang poetry. There are mainly five-character poems and seven-character poems in Tang Dynasty. There are also two kinds of modern poems, one is called quatrains, and the other is called metrical poems. Quatrains and metrical poems are five words and seven words respectively. Therefore, there are basically six basic forms of Tang poetry: five-character archaic poetry, seven-character archaic poetry, five-character quatrains, seven-character quatrains, five-character rhythmic poems and seven-character rhythmic poems.

2. Calligraphy

The regular script in the Tang Dynasty was rigorous, and completed the last stick from official script to regular script. The cursive script in Tang Dynasty is drunk, which shows that cursive script is "wild grass" and "sage of grass" through the ages.

3. Imperial Examination

The invention of the Sui Dynasty failed. The Tang Dynasty continued the imperial examination system of the Sui Dynasty and made every effort to recruit junior high school talents.

4. Tang Sancai

Tri-colored pottery in Tang Dynasty is a general term for pottery unearthed from tombs in Tang Dynasty, which was later regarded as a term in ceramic classification by scholars. Tang tricolor doesn't mean those three colors. All kinds of pottery figurines, statues and other pottery unearthed in the tombs of the Tang Dynasty have only one color or two colors, and many utensils have complex and colorful colors.

5. Buddhism

After the Tang and Sui Dynasties, great attention was paid to the rectification and utilization of Buddhism. In the second year of Emperor Gaozu's Wude (6 19), he gathered eminent monks in Beijing, established ten virtues and managed ordinary monks and nuns. In nine years (626), Fu Yi was invited by the Imperial Master many times, and finally ordered the sand to destroy Buddhism and Taoism, allowing only one temple in each state, but it failed to be implemented because of the change of governors' contention for position.
