China has always paid attention to the beauty of implication, and used allusions and metaphors in ancient poetry. Xin Qiji sometimes even has multiple allusions in a poem. Knowing the source of these allusions can better grasp the meaning of the whole poem.
Aihong
Love red: a metaphor for people who are sad, miserable and displaced.
Poem Xiaoya Hongyan: "Hongyan came, moaning and screaming. Philosophers think I am a diligent person. " When writing a poem, the envoys walked around and saw the refugees flying in the wild like wild geese. The refugees rejoiced at the arrival of the envoys and all poured out their words in unison, like the endless wailing of wild geese. Later, Hongyan was in the wild, and there was sorrow everywhere, which meant that the people were displaced.

Qin and Jin ―― the marriage of two big families
During the Spring and Autumn Period, Qin Jin and China got married, and later called the marriage of the two surnames "the goodness of Qin and Jin".
I lost my family. I would rather marry a hero and become Qin Jin.
An outdated festival (Qingming Festival) that started one or two days ago in Tomb-Sweeping Day, when only cold food is served for three days.
Cold food: a holiday, a day or two before Tomb-Sweeping Day.
Legend has it that the meson of Jin pushed him to live in seclusion in the deep mountains, burned the mountains and forced him to be an official, but he couldn't push him out and was burned to death. In memory of Jiexiu, Jin Wengong forbade making a fire and only ate cold food on the day of his death.
Han Yi's cold food: The spring city is full of flowers, and the willow branches in the east wind are oblique, eating cold food.

Mulberry: refers to hometown.
"The Book of Songs Xiaoya Xiaoyan": "Weisang and Zixu bow and respect." It means that the mulberry trees in my hometown were planted by my parents, and we should pay tribute to them. Later, people used it to compare their hometown.

Go home after the war
Seclusion.
At the end of the Yin Dynasty, when they attacked Yin, Boyi and Shu Qi, the sons of the monarch of the solitary bamboo kingdom, thought that this was the minister's regicide, so they dismounted and remonstrated. After Yin, they did not eat, lived in seclusion in shouyangshan, ate from the European Union, and eventually starved to death. Later used as a metaphor for seclusion.

Mitsui
Refers to seclusion.
At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, after Jiang Xu, the secretariat of Yanzhou, lived in seclusion, he opened three paths under the bamboo in the yard, just to associate with Zhong Qiu and Yang Zhong. Later, the Three Classics became synonymous with hermit residence.
Tao Yuanming's "Come home to Xi Ci": The three paths are barren, and the pines and chrysanthemums still exist.
Chicken millet

In The Analects of Confucius, Luz was separated from Confucius while traveling with him. When he met an old man working, he asked him. Because Luz's attitude is very respectful, the old man stayed in Luz and treated him well by killing chickens and cooking millet and rice. Later, "chicken millet" was used to refer to the meals served to guests.

Bi Hua
Often used to praise loyal ministers and benevolent people.

Loulan
Refers to the border enemy.
"Han Shu" contains: King Loulan was greedy for money and killed many China envoys to the Western Regions. Later, Fu Jiezi was sent to the Western Regions to behead King Loulan and make contributions to the country. Later, poets often used "Loulan" to refer to the enemy of the border, and "breaking (splitting) Loulan" to refer to making contributions.
Wang Changling's "Joining the Army": The yellow sand wears the golden armor for hundreds of battles, and the broken Loulan does not return.
Double carp
Letters.
Gulefu's "Drinking Horses in the Great Wall Cave": "Guests come from afar, leaving me a pair of carp, asking children to cook carp, and there are books in it." Later, "double carp" was used as a synonym for letters.
A letter from Li Shangyin to Secretary Ling Huchong: My uncle has been away from home for a long time, and the two carp are far apart.
Laoge
The general term for farewell songs.
Old songs refer to songs sung at the old pavilion to see off guests. The former site of the old pavilion is in Nanjing, which is a famous farewell place in ancient times. "Brother" later became another name for farewell songs.
Li Bai's "Grandma Pavilion": the sad place in the world, grandma's pavilion to see guests off.
Red bean shrub
Often used to symbolize love or lovesickness.
Legend has it that in ancient times, a woman died because her husband died in the frontier and cried under a tree, and became a red bean, so red bean is also called "acacia tree".
Wang Wei's Acacia: When those red berries come in spring, they flush on your southern branches. People who want to miss them collect more, and Mix red beans have attracted people's attention.

Modesty.
There is a story in Liezi Yang Zhu. Once upon a time, a man boasted about how delicious celery was in front of the village gentry. After tasting it, the gentry was stung in the mouth and miserable in the stomach. Later, "offering Qin" was used modestly to call the gift to the giver meager, or the suggestions made were superficial. Also known as "Qin Xian".
Gao Shi's On the Way to the Yellow River: There is still a sacrifice to Qin, and I see the Lord for no reason.
Holding column
Stick to your promise.
According to legend, in ancient times, the same woman met under a bridge. He waited a long time, but the woman didn't come. Just then, the river surged and flooded the bridge. In order to keep his promise, Weisheng refused to leave and hugged the bridge column and drowned.
