Where were the earliest lacquerware found in China?
China ancient lacquer craft has a long history. As early as Hemudu primitive social site in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, lacquer bowls were unearthed. This lacquered wooden bowl, with a diameter of 10.6×9.2cm, a height of 5.7cm and a bottom diameter of 7.6×7.2cm, has a closed mouth and a full circumference, and the walls are painted with cinnabar paint, which is very colorful. At the same time, a wooden tube and a "butterfly", also painted, were unearthed. These lacquerware in Hemudu culture are the earliest lacquerware discovered in China.
