20 12 The Institute of Advanced Confucianism of Shandong University was formed by the integration of the former Institute of Advanced Confucianism, the Confucianism Research Center, the Institute of Literature, History and Philosophy, and the editorial department of Literature, History and Philosophy. Retained the name of the College of Literature, History and Philosophy. The Institute of Historians and Philosophers of Original Texts was established in 2002, which was formed by merging the Institute of Historians and Philosophers of Original Texts (established in 1978), the Institute of Ancient Books Arrangement (established in 1983) and the Institute of Folklore (established in 1985). The former Confucianism Research Center was established in 2005. The former Institute of Advanced Studies of Confucianism was established on 20 10. Wen Shizhe was founded in 195 1. As the source and part of Confucianism, the above-mentioned institutions have the same humanistic academic background and profound academic foundation. Well-known scholars who worked in the predecessor institutions of our college are: Hua Gang, Wu Fuheng, Yang Xiangkui, Xiao Difei, Wang, Guan Dedong, Wang Shaozeng, Ge Maochun, Ding Guanzhi and Dong.
The Institute of Advanced Studies in Confucianism is a comprehensive humanistic research institution with Confucian classics as its focus and dedicated to the cultivation of undergraduates, masters and doctoral students. At present, there are China Institute of Philosophy, China Institute of History, China Institute of Literature, Classic Primary School Institute, Classical Literature Institute and Folklore Institute. Current President Xu Jialu, Executive President Wang Xuedian, Party Secretary Li Pingsheng, Vice Presidents Yan Binggang, Wang Jiahua, Xu Qingwen and Wang Zhen, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Li Pengcheng.
