Shanghai Library is located on Huaihai Middle Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai. It is a comprehensive research-oriented public library and industry information center in Shanghai. Instructions for admission to the Shanghai Library:
1. Readers can borrow books from the basic library on the first floor with their valid reference reading and reference borrowing card of the Shanghai Library. For foreign language books, periodicals, newspapers and other documents, each person can borrow 4 volumes at a time.
2. After readers have retrieved the required information, please read it in the comprehensive reading room. After reading the books and periodicals, please return them to the cashier and exchange them for your reader's card. Please return the accessed materials in time before 17:00 every day.
3. If the reference reading books are not returned before 17:00 on the same day and the books are taken home, an overdue return fee will be charged.
4. Please take good care of documents and all public property. Please do not annotate, alter, fold, deface, cut or tear pages on documents. Do not take documents out of the reading room. Violators will be dealt with according to relevant regulations of Shanghai Library. If readers need to copy materials, please make copies at the copy point on this floor. If you have special needs and need to scan or photograph books and periodicals by yourself, please go to the reference desk to fill out the "Intellectual Property Protection Agreement".
5. Please use the power supply in the designated area. Do not connect to an external power supply or charge without authorization. Pay attention to the safety of electricity.
6. Please store books and periodicals (including self-brought books and periodicals), bags (larger than 14*20 cm), food and other items that are not in the reading area in the baggage deposit area.
7. Please abide by the "seven no's", abide by the library's borrowing rules, and be a civilized reader.
8. If readers have any other needs, please consult the staff and the library will serve you wholeheartedly.
9. Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 9:00-17:00, national statutory holidays 9:00-16:00.
