Are Xianbei people related to ancient Han people?

Xianbei is a descendant of Donghu, and the origin of Donghu is still a mystery. In fact, the origin of each nation is not clear, at least there are many explanations.

That is to say, from the bloodline, Xianbei people should not come from ancient China. Han people only appeared after the Han Dynasty, so it is not accurate to call them ancient Han people.

But it depends on what you think. People who were born and raised in China, or whose parents are from China, or who have obtained legal nationality, can all be called China people. Talking about history is even more troublesome. The territory of the past dynasties has changed a lot, and whether it is the territory of China is another question. The area where Xianbei originated and where Xianbei first moved is now a part of China and once a part of China, so it is ok to say that Xianbei people come from China.

Although Xianbei people were recorded in China's ancient books as early as the Zhou Dynasty, Xianbei people were not handed down until the later Han Dynasty. Xiongnu was defeated by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, which was attached later. Dou Gu and Dou Xian wiped out the Huns in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Some Huns migrated inward, while others migrated westward. However, the Han dynasty did not establish administrative units in this area, and Xianbei took the opportunity to occupy this area, making Xianbei strong. During the Three Kingdoms period, I had certain contacts with Wei.

Yongjia Rebellion led to chaos in the Central Plains and the demise of the Western Jin Dynasty. The four main forces of Xianbei successively entered the Central Plains: Yuwen Department, Xianbei Department, Xianbei Murong Department and Daiguo. In addition to the small influence of frugality, Murong established Yan Qian, Houyan, Southern Yan and Xiyan outside the sixteen countries. Yuwen founded the Northern Zhou Dynasty and was later usurped by Emperor Wen of Sui. Daiguo was the predecessor of the Northern Wei Dynasty. 99.99% of Emperor Wendi and Li Yuan were Xianbei people. Even if it wasn't, the Sui and Tang Dynasties also had a deep Xianbei lineage. Emperor Wendi's wife, Empress Dugu, and his wife, Empress Grandson, must be Xianbei people. Dugu and grandson are Xianbei 72 surnames.

Xianbei had a high degree of sinicization in the north, which was much higher than that of Xiongnu and Jurchen Mongolia after Turkic Qidan. There are 72 surnames similar to Han people, which is the best proof. Later, after moving inward, the degree of sinicization (this is not rigorous, but Xianbei is sinicized, and Han people are also Xianbei) is higher. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, there was basically no difference between Han people and Xianbei people. The rulers of Sui and Tang Dynasties did not treat Han Chinese or Xianbei people as foreigners. Therefore, during the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the word Xianbei was basically rare. By the end of the Tang Dynasty, Xianbei had never been mentioned again.
