Cultural Relics Collected by Zhenjiang Museum

Zhenjiang Museum is a comprehensive museum of local history, established in 1958. The former site of the museum is the former site of the British Consulate, covering an area of 1 1700 square meters. Five East Indian-style buildings were built in a patchwork manner on the mountain. 1995, cultural relics warehouse was built1780m2, with an area of 5456m2; 1996 was approved by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit. In this art hall, there are more than 30,000 cultural relics and 65,438+10,000 ancient books from the Stone Age to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Among them, there are over 70 national first-class cultural relics and over 300 second-class cultural relics. Bronzes of the Western Zhou Dynasty, celadon of the Six Dynasties, gold and silver wares of the Tang, Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties, and paintings and calligraphy of the Ming and Qing Dynasties are the collection features. These treasures, flashing the wisdom and civilization of the Chinese nation, show the footprints of the historical development of Zhenjiang ancient city.
