Who was the first saint in history?

Confucius was honored as a "saint" in China, which has been passed down to this day. In fact, Fu Shuo, the prime minister of Wuding King in Shang Dynasty, who was about 800 years earlier than Confucius, was the first respected "saint" in the history of China.

Fu Shuo, a native of Gu Yuguo (now Pinglu County, Shaanxi Province), was born as a slave. He used to work with many slaves in Fuyan Mountain, and was famous for inventing "board building" when he conquered the flood. When the Shang Dynasty passed on the throne to Emperor Gaozong Wuding after two generations of kings, Xirong became a disaster and the politics of the dynasty declined. "Emperor Wuding ascended the throne, thinking about reviving Yin, but he didn't get his help" (Sima Qian's Historical Records Yin Benji III), so he ordered the civil and military officials of the Qing Dynasty to recruit talents all over the country. When he learned that there was a noble name in Fu Shuo, he wanted to call him to North Korea at once, but Fu Shuo's humble origin and rapid promotion inevitably caused great dissatisfaction among the nobles. Therefore, Ding dreamed that he became a saint at night under the guise of "destiny" and said, "This name is ... as a photo". Fu Shuo assisted King Wuding for 59 years, making "Great Governance of Yin" a famous phase of Zhongxing in history.

Wuding is the first monarch with accurate records in the history of China. After Fu Shuo's death, later generations established Fu Shuo Temple in Banzhu, Fu Shuo. The cave where Fu Shuo hid as a slave was named Sage Cave, and the river in front of Sage Cave was renamed Sage Creek.

Therefore, Fu Shuo was the first "saint" in the history of China, and Fu Shuo was also a famous scientist and strategist in ancient China.
