In June 2001, Xinxiang City Library moved from Weihe Park (in the old park) to the current new building. The new museum has a construction area of ??8,722 square meters and a collection of more than 800,000 volumes (pieces) of various types. Among them, there are 200,000 ancient books. There are 55 current employees with high, intermediate and junior professional titles. There are 7 internal departments including the acquisition and editing department, the loan department, the books and periodicals reading department, the ancient books department, the network information department, the office, and the security department. The windows currently open to the public are: the loan department, the newspaper and periodical reading room, the children's reading room, and the back issues of newspapers and periodicals. Reference room, ancient books special collection reference room, electronic reading room. In the past two years, all the library staff have worked hard and won honorary titles such as the National Key Ancient Books Protection Unit, the National Secondary Library, and the Province's Advanced Unit for the Education of Minors.
