Where is Tao Yuanming's Peach Blossom Garden?

Tao Yuanming's Peach Blossom Garden is in Changde City, Hunan Province.

Tao Yuanming said at the beginning of his "Peach Blossom Garden": "When he was in Taiyuan, Wu Lingren made a living by fishing", which clearly indicated that the Peach Blossom Garden was in Wuling, but there were Wuling County and Wuling County in the history of China.

According to the Records of Geography of Hanshu, Wuling County lasted for 960 years from the establishment of the Western Han Dynasty to the end of the Tang Dynasty. The area under its jurisdiction was later changed to Changde Road and Changde House, and Tao Yuanming's Eastern Jin Dynasty was in this period, so today's Changde in Hunan is considered by many people as the prototype of the Peach Blossom Garden.

Taohuayuan is located in Taoyuan County, Changde, with Yuanjiang in the south and Wuling Peak in the north. There is also the Taoyuan view of Wuling Mountain, which was founded in the Western Jin Dynasty. By the time of the Northern Song Dynasty, the incense was extremely prosperous, and the literati in the past dynasties splashed ink everywhere, becoming the holy land of Taoism in China.

The peach blossom garden in spring is full of peach blossoms, green and red. Walking into the Peach Blossom Garden is like walking into a magnificent picture scroll, and you can really feel the artistic conception of "lush grass and blooming flowers" depicted in the Peach Blossom Garden. This is also the peach blossom source prototype of the annotation and etymology of Ci Hai.

It is "Preface to Peach Blossom Garden Poetry", which is selected from Tao Yuanming's collection. Based on the whereabouts of Wuling fisherman, this paper links reality with ideal realm, and through the description of peaceful, happy, free and equal life in Peach Blossom Garden, it shows the author's ideal of pursuing a better life and his dissatisfaction with the real life at that time.
