Confucian thought

1, slightly meaning

Confucianism has a long tradition of attaching importance to the revision of history. Confucius said, "Words without deeds, loyalty to the past, beat my old Peng." (The Analects of Confucius). Confucius not only recorded historical events, but also expressed his thoughts and opinions in words and phrases, which was called "micro-semantic".

Thanks to the efforts of Confucian scholars in past dynasties, the chronicle of China began in 84 BC1year (the first year of the Western Zhou Dynasty) and has not been interrupted until today.

2. Value righteousness over profit

Confucianism values righteousness over profit, officials over business, and essence over the end, which is incompatible with modern commodity economy. The Datong society described in the Confucian classic Book of Rites is a description of the trip to the Confucian Avenue.

3. Learn things from others.

Confucianism's pursuit of knowledge based on things is specialized in the field of science. This school has been lost, and later became an important issue of Confucian epistemology. Confucius said, "A gentleman is useless." Zhu's explanation is: "The utensils are suitable for their use and cannot be connected. People who have become virtuous have all kinds of bodies, so they all use them, not for one talent and one skill. "

This is the ideological root of Confucianism's contempt for specialized talents. Song Ying Xing, the author of Heavenly Creations in Ming Dynasty, turned to science and technology only after six failed imperial examinations.
