He used to be the president and editor-in-chief of Liaoning Ancient Books Publishing House and the title editor. He is currently the editor of Liaohai Publishing House. He is also a visiting professor in the history departments of Jilin University, Liaoning University and Liaoning Normal University, a invited researcher at Liaoning Academy of Social Sciences, a director of China Japanese History Research Association, a director of China Qing Palace History Research Association, a director of China18th Century Research Association, a director of China Jin Pingmei Research Association, a director of Chinese Martial Arts Literature Society, a vice president of Northeast China-Japan Relations History Research Association, a vice president of Liaoning Historical Society and a vice president of Fengzhi Warlord History Research Association.
