After a lot of investigations, inquests and interrogations, the public security organs found out that the suspects Xia Moumou, Zhang Mou, Suo Moumou, Su Mokui and others had planned to rob the tomb in Dulan since 20 17 1 1.

After many unsuccessful robberies, the gang moved to the east platform of Wei Xue No.1 Tomb ("Nine-story Demon Tower") for excavation. Two nights, 646 cultural relics were stolen, and it was agreed to find a buyer to sell the stolen goods until the case was arrested by the public security organs.

Lu, captain of the criminal police detachment of the Public Security Bureau of Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, said that after analysis and summary, this crime showed the characteristics of collusion between locals and outsiders, clear division of labor and the formation of gangs.

In recent years, the trend of professionalization and intelligence of cultural relics crimes is obvious, and crimes are becoming more and more hidden. The situation of combating and preventing cultural relics crimes is very grim. Relevant statistics show that since 20 14, the public security organs throughout the country have filed about 2,000 cultural relics crimes every year.

Liu Mingwei, director of National Cultural Heritage Administration Supervision Bureau, said that the number of cultural relics crimes is increasing year by year, and the means of cultural relics crimes are escalating in some areas.
