The Ethnic and Religious Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Ethnic and Religious Committee) is a special committee of the provincial people's congress, an integral part of the provincial people's congress and a permanent institution, and is led by the provincial people's congress; When the Congress is not in session, it is under the leadership of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress. People's religious committees collectively exercise their functions and powers according to law. Responsible for the counterpart work contact with the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Commission, the Provincial Bureau of Religious Affairs and the relevant provincial units, and responsible for handling the relevant ethnic and religious affairs within the scope of functions and powers of the Provincial People's Congress and its Standing Committee. The Ethnic Affairs Committee has an office, which works under the leadership of the Committee.
Main job responsibilities
1, bills and draft local regulations, resolutions and decisions on ethnic and religious issues submitted to the provincial people's congress or the Standing Committee.
2, study and review the draft local regulations delivered by the presidium or the Standing Committee of the provincial people's Congress, and put forward the deliberation report.
3, to consider and deal with the relevant bills and issues assigned by the presidium or the Standing Committee of the provincial people's Congress; To study and deal with the suggestions, criticisms and opinions put forward by the deputies to the provincial people's Congress, and reply to the deputies. Handling letters and visits from people's representatives and people within the scope of the functions and powers of the Committee on Religious Affairs.
4, submitted to the provincial people's Congress and its Standing Committee for deliberation and approval of the draft national and religious local regulations, and put forward examination opinions; Review the relevant administrative regulations submitted to the Standing Committee of the provincial people's Congress for the record, and put forward examination opinions.
5, to guide the drafting and revision of autonomous regulations and separate regulations of ethnic autonomous areas in this province.
6, put forward the annual plan of ethnic and religious legislation, drafting and assisting the relevant departments of the provincial government to draft relevant local regulations.
7, to participate in the inspection and law enforcement inspection organized by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress. To inspect and investigate ethnic and religious issues according to law, and put forward opinions, suggestions and reports.
8, the provincial people's Congress or the Standing Committee authorized the investigation, and make a report.
9, the province's current local ethnic and religious laws and regulations to amend or abolish the proposal.
10. Investigate the implementation of laws, regulations, administrative rules and other legally binding resolutions and decisions on ethnic and religious issues.

13, carry out investigation and study, and submit reports and suggestions to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress and its directors' meeting on major issues and matters involving ethnic and religious aspects.
14. establish contact with ethnic minorities and religious circles in this province and actively reflect their opinions and suggestions. Strengthen contacts and exchanges with the Ethnic Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress and the ethnic and religious work institutions of the people's congresses of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, as well as the ethnic and religious work of the people's congresses of all cities, autonomous prefectures, counties and autonomous counties in this province.
15, listen to the work reports and suggestions of counterpart contact units, and make suggestions.
16, strengthen contact with the special committees of the provincial people's congress and the offices of the Standing Committee, and solicit opinions on legislation.
