What ancient texts did ancient children learn? What's the order?

It depends on different periods.

In ancient three generations, children were taught by the elderly and practiced martial arts. In Shang Dynasty, martial arts were the main content, while in Zhou Dynasty, six arts were the content.

The pre-Qin period, like Confucius and Mozi, paid attention to lobbying and giving lectures, focusing on adult education.

The education system in Han Dynasty was mature, and it was divided into official schools and private schools. Primary school students are mainly literate and can read some Analects of Confucius. When they grow up, they can read famous books.

In ancient times, children were taught to recite first, because their understanding ability was poor but their memory ability was strong. When I was in my teens, the teacher began to talk about it, such as three-character classics and thousand-character essays, which were compiled after the Tang and Song Dynasties, with the aim of cultivating the understanding ability of primary school students, from easy to difficult.

The six arts are: ceremony, music, shooting, imperial, writing and counting. Among them, the martial arts in Shang Dynasty mainly refers to shooting, while the rites in Zhou Dynasty mainly refers to ceremony and music.
