Before written words were produced, humans usually spoke languages. Many small languages have languages but no words. The difference of writing reflects the difference of written expression and thinking between countries and nations. Writing has enabled mankind to enter a civilized society with historical records.
According to the phonetics and glyphs of characters, they can be divided into ideographic characters, phonography characters and logotype characters. Phonetics and morphemes can be divided into phonemes, syllables and morphemes.
Hieroglyphs are hieroglyphics of early primitive human characters, such as: the sacred script of ancient Egypt, cuneiform script of two rivers valley, ancient Indian script, Mayan script of America and early Chinese characters.
Phonetic symbols use a small number of letters (more than 50) to form the pronunciation of word recording language. Phonetic symbols can be divided into syllable words and phoneme words. A syllable word is a syllable word, such as a Japanese pseudonym. Phonemic words are words with phonemes as the unit, such as 26 English letters, 29 Western letters and 33 Russian letters.
