Shanxi Library, founded in August of 1909, is one of the earliest public libraries in China and the earliest public library in western China. It is one of the first batch of "national key protection units of ancient books", a "national first-class library" evaluated by the people of China and the former Ministry of Culture, and a civilized unit in Shaanxi Province.
