In the Qing Dynasty, many famous scholars with master's degrees took the "Book of Han" as their research object, and they made great achievements in various fields such as annotation, examination, compilation and supplementation of lost works, and there was an unprecedented prosperity. After the May 4th Movement, "Hanshu" was criticized as a typical example of feudal authentic historiography. Its status and influence also plummeted, and the study of "Hanshu" became increasingly neglected. In recent years, the study of "Hanshu" has been strengthened, and relevant treatises have gradually increased.
