Eriocheir sinensis is mainly distributed in southwest China, most of which are in Guangxi. Because of its low reproductive rate and few wild groups, it is listed as a national second-class protected animal.
However, since the 1990s, artificial propagation has been successfully domesticated and started. However, due to low temperature tolerance, artificial farming is limited to southeastern China and industrial farming.
Turtle is one of the rarest wild animals in China, and its preciousness can be compared with that of panda. At present, the wild is almost extinct, and only a few parks still have a few. In addition, it is also reported that some new turtle species have been found in some places, such as black turtle in Zhejiang, Mody turtle in Guangxi, sand turtle and small turtle in Hunan.
Extended data:
Growth habit
Turtle is a warm-blooded animal. It breathes with its lungs. I like living in rivers, lakes and ponds. Often float to the surface, stretch out the tip of the kiss to breathe, and often bask in the back on land. Turtle is very sensitive to the change of external temperature, and its life law is closely related to the change of external temperature.
When the temperature is 10 ~ 12℃, the soft-shelled turtle enters the hibernation period, and the hibernation period is from mid-October to mid-April of the following year in Hangjiahu area 165438/kloc-0. When the water temperature rises to about 15℃ in spring, people gradually wake up from hibernation and start eating.
When the temperature is above 20℃, male and female turtles mate to lay eggs. Turtle has the habit of protecting eggs. After spawning, it will be guarded in the water not far from the spawning ground to prevent natural enemies from hurting it. 25 ~ 30℃ is the optimum temperature range for soft-shelled turtle to eat and grow, and it is also the best season for artificial breeding.
