Zeng originated in the northwest of Lanling County, Shandong Province. In the pre-Qin period, the descendants of Zeng who fled to Lu were officials in Lu, survived and spread to the surrounding areas, making Zeng clan people spread all over Shandong and Hebei.
During the Qin and Han dynasties, people surnamed Zeng were always called "filial piety" and were honored as "saints" by feudal rulers. Sun Zengle, the eldest son of Zeng Shen, was a county magistrate in Shanyin of the Western Han Dynasty, and Huan, the son of Zeng Le, had two sons: Xu and Guang. Hope to help Feng, Guang Jia's fourth son Yu Hechang moved to Jizhou and Qingzhou respectively. During the Qin and Han dynasties, due to the war and other reasons, it moved from Shandong and Henan to Hebei, Hunan, Shaanxi, Jiangxi and Guangdong provinces.
