Introduction of white cotton paper
In 2006, Dai handmade white cotton paper was listed as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage. Mangtuan Village, Mengding Town, Gengma County, lincang, Yunnan Province has been carrying on a folk hand-made paper. Its production still inherits the complete process of the Eastern Han Dynasty. It can be called the "living fossil" of ancient papermaking in China, and it is the most complete manual papermaking technology so far. Handmade white cotton paper made of Broussonetia papyrifera bark has the characteristics of tough and white paper, soft and smooth, long-term storage, corrosion resistance and moth resistance, and unbreakable tearing. Handmade white cotton paper of Dai nationality can be used for packaging Pu 'er tea, copying scriptures, making wallpaper and making various handicrafts.
