Wu's life

His contribution in the field of language and writing is mainly reflected in the aspects of writing, phonology and exegesis of traditional linguistics, which are embodied in the following aspects:

(1) assisted his father Zhu Qifeng in compiling Ci Tong and promoted its publication. He is the author of Reading Classics Hall (1922, because Reading Classics Hall was originally named Bian, later renamed Reading Classics Hall, later renamed New Reading Classics Hall, and finally named Reading Classics Hall) and the introduction of Mr. Dani's Speech.

(2) In exegetics, there are Notes on Selected Works of Hou Fangyu (193 1 year), Notes on Selected Works of Ceng Gong (193 1 year) and Notes on Selected Works of Zi Tongzhi (/kloc-).

As the deputy editor-in-chief of two large dictionaries, Cihai and Chinese Dictionary, and the editor-in-chief of Cihai Dictionary, he has done a lot of work.

(3) Collating Ci Tong on the basis of father's work. 199 1 year, Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House published the sequel to Ci Tong edited by Wu Junhuan and Zhong Jinghua, which is an important contribution to the study of philology in China and the development of cultural undertakings in China.

(4) Some achievements in traditional linguistics fully show his profound attainments in this field. He is the author of The Literary Value of Lian Mian's Characters (Responsibility 1923, Novel Monthly 1923, Volume 14, No.3) and About Collation (current affairs news, Deng Xue 1946, June/KLOC). If you publish a long article, you can buy furniture. If you publish a book, you can buy a house. At that time, there were some people who got rich by working, but Mr. Wu was unmoved. Although he has his own opinions on language, he writes very little. In the 30 years after liberation, he only published seven articles. After the Cultural Revolution, he was eight years old, but he was "fascinated by teenagers". In just a few years, he not only published more than 10 articles, but also compiled a 700,000-word "sequel" based on the card left by his father Zhu Qifeng. The reason is that the politics at the beginning of liberation was unpredictable, and Mr. Wu saved himself by talking less. It can be seen that right and wrong were impossible at first, but they were not done later.
