Where did Chengdu find 920 medical bamboo slips through rescue archaeological excavation?

920 medical bamboo slips were found in the Han Tomb of Laoguanshan in Chengdu. Because of the age, the words on the bamboo slips are difficult to recognize with the naked eye. Archaeologists cracked some of them by infrared scanning. Among them, "My Past" and "Bian Que" in medical bamboo slips are homonyms, which probably refer to Bian Que, the founder of pulse diagnosis, and some unearthed medical bamboo slips may belong to the lost medical books of Bian Que School.

A brief introduction to the Han tomb in Laoguanshan

The Han Tomb of Laoguanshan in Chengdu is located in the east of Tumen Community Health Station in Tianhui Town, jinniu district, Chengdu. From July, 20 12 to August, 20 13, Chengdu Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and Jingzhou Cultural Relics Protection Center formed a joint archaeological team to carry out rescue archaeological excavations, and * * * cleared 4 wooden tombs in earthen pits during the Western Han Dynasty, and unearthed more than 620 cultural relics such as lacquered wood, pottery, bronze and iron.

920 medical bamboo slips were found in this tomb, and some medical books may be lost in Bian Que School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The four models of Shu brocade jacquard machine are the first complete loom models of Western Han Dynasty unearthed, which fill the archaeological blank of silk textile technology in China.
