So two years later, in the eighth year of Kangxi, Emperor Kangxi successfully brought down Ao Bai, and he really took power from then on. After he really came to power, the diplomatic relations between the Qing Dynasty and Russia began to change gradually. In the early Qing Dynasty, Russia successfully extended its territory to Asia through external expansion, and Russia, originally a European country, also bordered China. After bordering China, Russia took the opportunity to invade the Heilongjiang region of China, so the diplomatic relations between China and Russia were not very good.
In the ninth year of Emperor Kangxi, Emperor Kangxi sent an envoy to Nebuchadnezzar Chu, who was then ruled by the Qing Dynasty, to demand that Russian troops occupying China's border territory withdraw from China. However, Russia did not do this, but further invaded northeast China. Later, due to the outbreak of the San Francisco rebellion in the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Kangxi could only temporarily shelve the situation in Northeast China. After successfully pacifying the San Francisco rebellion, Emperor Kangxi began to pay attention to the situation in Northeast China. Since the 24th year of Kangxi, Emperor Kangxi has sent troops to attack jaxa occupied by Russian troops many times. Relying on the victory of the war, China and Russia finally ushered in the opportunity of negotiation.
This negotiation ended in the 28th year of Kangxi, and China and Russia signed the Treaty of Nebuchadnezzar. With the signing of the treaty, the relationship between China and Russia has changed from hostility to cooperation, and the economic and cultural exchanges between the two sides have become increasingly frequent. In the thirty-third year of Emperor Kangxi, in order to increase the convenience for Russian businessmen and missionaries to come to Beijing, Emperor Kangxi specially set up the Russian Pavilion. In addition, Emperor Kangxi established Russian studies in the forty-seventh year of Kangxi as a place for the children of the Eight Banners to learn Russian.
