Classic cattle of ancient books

Introduction to the work Introduction to the Bullfighting Picture: (Dai Song's picture book is 44 cm long.

Horizontal 40.8 cm (collected by the National Palace Museum in Taipei, China) This picture depicts the scene of two cows fighting, which is interesting and novel. One cow ran away in front, as if afraid of strength, and another cow chased after it, bowing its head and thrusting its horn against the hind leg of the previous cow. The two bulls are painted in ink, and the hooves, horns, eyes and brown hair are all painted in thick ink, vividly depicting the muscle tension of the bullfight, the innocence of the escapees breathing and escaping, and the unstoppable momentum of the attackers. The wildness and ferocity of cattle show their pens. It can be seen that the painter's observation of life is meticulous, and his works are unconventional and commercial, which is worthy of being handed down from generation to generation.

Dai Song has always been famous for drawing cows. The cows he painted are as famous as the horses painted by traitors. Collectively known as "Han Ma Dai Niu". Dai Song has a "Bullfighting Map", which was collected by Song Dynasty Minister Ma Zhijie. Ma Zhijie cherishes this painting very much. One day, it was sunny and dry. Ma Zhijie took out this "bullfighting painting" from the bottom of the box and put it in the sun in front of the hall. A farmer came to Obiang and saw this photo. He looked at it and couldn't help laughing. Ma Zhijie felt strange around him, so he asked the farmer, "Do you know how to draw? What's funny about this picture? " The farmer replied, "I'm just a farmer." I don't know how to draw, but I know a lot about live cattle. " When a cow fights, it must put its tail tightly between its thighs, no matter how strong it is, it can't be pulled out. But look at this picture of a bullfight. Two cows are fighting angrily, but their tails are held high. This is totally different from the actual situation! "Hearing this, Ma Zhijie admired the farmer's knowledge very much.

In addition, The Record of Famous Paintings in the Tang Dynasty says that his paintings of cattle can "exhaust the beauty of their wild bones and muscles", and his paintings such as Bullfighting, Three-headed Cattle and Returning to the Ranch are regarded as peerless masterpieces. Among them, "Bullfighting Map" is collected by Du. One day, Du took the painting out to dry. A shepherd boy passed by and looked at the "Bullfighting Map" carefully. He couldn't help laughing. Du Chu Shi was surprised to ask the child what he was laughing at. The shepherd boy pointed to the picture and said, "When the cows fight, their strength is concentrated in the corner, and their tails are sandwiched between the two strands. People who paint cows ridiculously don't understand the truth of bullfighting, so that their tails are tilted and shaken. " Du was very impressed. Obviously, when Dai Song painted the bullfight, he did not carefully observe the details of the bullfight, which led to mistakes. However, despite its flaws, this painting is still a masterpiece with a long reputation.

Ancient books record that Dai Song painted cows (1).

There is Du in Shu, with excellent calligraphy and painting. There is also my favorite Dai Songniu Axis, and there is also a pointed jade axis, which will always be followed by myself. One day, when the painting and calligraphy were exposed, a shepherd boy saw it and clapped his hands and said with a smile, "This painting is also a bullfight! Bullfighting power is in the horn, and the tail twitches into two strands. Today, we are fighting with our tails between our legs. It's ridiculous! " Chu Shi ran 6 with a smile. There is an old saying: "Plowing asks slaves, weaving asks maids." Can't be changed.

Word annotation ① is selected from Su Shi's Dongpo Zhi Lin. Song (s#ng). ② Capsule (n2ng): bag. This refers to painting sleeves. ③ Clap your hands. ④ twitch (ch): contraction. ⑤ Tail flick: wag your tail. 6 Ran: I think it's right. 7 maid (b@): maid.

There is a Adu Chu Shi in Sichuan who likes painting and calligraphy. He has a collection of hundreds of paintings and calligraphy. One of them is a cow painted by Dai Song, which is very precious. He sewed a painting sleeve with brocade and made a painting shaft with jade, and he always took it with him. One day, he spread out his calligraphy and painting to bask in the sun. A shepherd boy saw the cow painted by Dai Song, clapped his hands and said with a smile, "This painting is for bullfighting! The power of bullfighting is used in the horn, and the tail is tightly sandwiched between the legs. Now the cow in this painting is wagging its tail and fighting, no! " Du smiled and thought what he said was very reasonable. There is an old saying: "The tiller asks the farmer, and the weaver asks the weaver." This truth will not change!
