The earliest records of Kunlun Mountain can be found in Shan Hai Jing and Huai Nan Zi. The Kunlun Mountain described in the book is in the northwest of China, which is the palace of the Yellow Emperor, and the Yaochi of the Queen Mother of the West is also in Shan Ye. Legend has it that Kunlun Mountain is the source of the Yellow River, rich in jade, and there are immortal trees and various exotic animals on the mountain. But because Kunlun Mountain is so mysterious, its location has become an eternal mystery, with different opinions and no conclusion.
Now the location of Kunlun Mountain was decided by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, because Zhang Qian learned a lot about the northwest geography when he went to the Western Regions. When he came back, he reported to Emperor Wu that the source of the Yellow River was Khotan (now Hotan, Xinjiang). However, Zhang Qian thought that Kunlun Mountain was further west, but Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty didn't think so. He saw that "the source of the river rises in Khotan and its mountains are full of jade", which is exactly the same as the Kunlun Mountain recorded in ancient books, so he decided that Kunlun Mountain is the Nanshan Mountain in Khotan, and this name has continued to this day.
However, there are still many historians and geographical researchers who disagree with this statement. Sima Qian, who lived in the same dynasty as Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, disagreed. He thinks that the Nanshan Mountain in Khotan is not as beautiful as Jun Gao, and it is not worthy to be called Kunlun. In his Hanshu, Ban Gu only called Nanshan Nanshan Nanshan, without mentioning the word Kunlun.
Later generations generally hold two opinions on the location of Kunlun Mountain. One thinks that there is only one Kunlun Mountain, but it is not in the south of Khotan Mountain. As for which mountain it is, some people think it is Qilian Mountain and some people think it is Yanshan Mountain. It's hard to evaluate each other's opinions.
Another view of Kunlun Mountain is that there is more than one Kunlun Mountain. Because there is a "Que of Kunlun Mountain in the Sea" recorded in Shan Hai Jing, later scholars think that there are inland and overseas points, and that Kunlun Mountain has inland and overseas points. Later, they put forward the view that Kunlun Mountain is big and small. In the Qing Dynasty, people summed up the views of predecessors and counted seven Kunlun Mountains: "One is overseas, one is in Xining and the other is in Suzhou. What's more, it is considered that Kunlun Mountain is a general term for the towering mountains by the ancients. Now the Pamirs, Himalayas, Kunlun Mountains and some mountains in Qinghai are Kunlun Mountains.
Where Kunlun Mountain is, there is no conclusion today, and it may never be. Perhaps it is precisely because of the close connection between Kunlun Mountain and myths and legends that no mountain in the world can match the charm of Kunlun Fairy Mountain in people's minds. The emptiness of Kunlun Mountain, which bears the beautiful imagination of countless people, is probably in everyone's heart.
2. Why is Kunlun Mountain the first mountain in the world? China is a vast country with mountains and rivers everywhere. The particularly famous Dangtui Wuyue became the special pet of ancient emperors. Whenever the world is unified in peace and prosperity, the brigade will make a patrol to worship Zen.
"Feng" is a shrine and "Zen" is a place of worship, and good governance has been achieved. Only by telling the god of heaven and earth about such an important event can the mountains and rivers last forever. In fact, it is also meaningful for kings to do these things with great fanfare: the ancients used miracles to summarize unexplained phenomena, and the first move to retreat from Zen was to hope for the blessing of the gods; Furthermore, strengthen the "divine right of monarchy". I didn't become an emperor casually, but it was decided by heaven, so that I could establish my authority and everyone's awe.
In ancient times, Mount Tai was the highest and the mountain was close to the sky, so it became a frequent place for the Emperor Guandi Temple. Qin Shihuang, Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, Emperor Guangwu of Han Dynasty, Tang Gaozong, Xuanzong and others have all been there in person.
Even though Mount Tai is noble, the name of the first mountain is Kunlun, which is far from the border. Moreover, Kunlun Mountain was generously awarded the title of "Wanzu Mountain" and "Father of Long Mai".
Kunlun Mountain starts from the Pamirs in the west to the east, extends eastward to Qinghai through Tibet in Xinjiang, and then extends eastward from Bayankala to Songpan Plateau in northwest Sichuan, with a total length of 2,500 kilometers.
It runs through four provinces and regions, covering an area of more than 500,000 square kilometers, towering into the sky and stretching endlessly. Such a behemoth has its own awe-inspiring spirit, not to mention the five mountains, which are rare in the sea.
The ancients were born with admiration and awe for these unexplored and conquered natural landforms. Even now, people on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are still pious. People think that those snow-capped and misty peaks are immortal caves and are called "sacred mountains".
There are records about Kunlun Mountain, and historians and literati have never been stingy with pen and ink. As that sentence goes: the Kunlun Mountain was born, and the spring scenery of the world was read. Feiyulong 3 million, stirring up the surrounding cold. Another example is: in front of the Jade Building in Kunlun Mountain, five colors of auspicious light are mixed with purple smoke. The scenery is different from the world, and the immortals are drunk. Records in historical records add mystery to Kunlun Mountain. During the Taikang period of the Western Jin Dynasty, a large number of bamboo slips were unearthed in Jixian County, Henan Province, which was called "bamboo slips chronology" in history. Among them, The Biography of Mu recorded in detail the story of the fifth generation monarch's voyage to the Western Zhou Dynasty: in fifty-five years, Zhao Fu led the way, and a group of people set out from Haojiang (Xi 'an), crossed Zhangshui and Yellow River, entered Hetao area, went west, passed through Gansu and Qinghai, and arrived at the Queen Mother of the West, and started a romantic journey with Yaochi, the Queen Mother of the West, full of lights and dancing.
Of course, there are different views on this record, and it is believed that Mu Shu was written in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Moreover, judging from the territory of the Western Zhou Dynasty, it is also not credible that the Emperor left the country and went all the way from Wan Li to no man's land.
Even the description of the Queen Mother of the West has the opposite description. Shan Hai Jing once wrote: ... There is a mountain called Kunlun Mountain. There is a god, a man with a tiger face, a man with a tail, ... a tiger tooth with a leopard tail, and a hole called the Queen Mother of the West.
The Queen Mother of the West has changed from a stunning beauty image living in Qiongyao Wonderland to a monster living in a cave with tiger teeth and leopard tails. What is certain is that Kunlun Mountain is generally regarded as the gateway to heaven.
3. The Myth Story of Kunlun Mountain In the Ming Dynasty, the prevailing Taoism took Kunlun Mountain as a place of practice. It is these diverse records that give the name of Kunlun Fairy Mountain. Perhaps it is because people are inaccessible, and miraculous events about Kunlun Mountain emerge one after another. In the existing literary works, the ultimate vision of the world behind bronze doors; There are also unexplained phenomena in real life.
There is a grassy valley in Kunlun Mountain, which is called "Death Valley" or "Death Gate" by local people. This valley is full of animal remains. Nomads are secretive about this place, but they never dare to drive their sheep into the green grassland.
The key point is 1983, where a geological team from Xinjiang is exploring. Geologists just laugh at the discouragement of herders and many rumors. Scientists only believe in science, and those who are distracted by Machamp are generally quite sure.
Strangely, it was in the heat of July, but suddenly there was a snowstorm in Death Valley, mixed with thunder. According to a geologist's memory, after hearing the thunder in his ear, he was paralyzed and fainted, probably because of lightning, and when he woke up, it was as dark as a thunderstorm.
Combined with the experience of fellow villagers, the geological team decided to go deep into Death Valley to solve the mystery. To their surprise, the magnetic field in the valley is so high that the compass can't be used, and the deeper it goes, the stronger the magnetic force is. According to the analysis of the geological team, it may be that the strong magnetic field in Death Valley triggered the frequent patronage of lightning.
The Kunlun Mountain God was formed by the ancient people's incomprehension and imagination of the unknown world, which artificially created various mysterious atmospheres. The name "the first mountain of God" belongs to him.
