During this period, Xu Chai-lao spared no effort to carry forward the Chinese national culture, implement the Confucian benevolent policy, spread the advanced agriculture, fishery and industrial technology in southern Fujian, and vigorously developed shipbuilding, textile, pottery making and tea planting, which made outstanding contributions to the social stability, economic and trade development and literary prosperity of Lu-Zong.

From 1372 (the fifth year of China Ming Hongwu) to 14 10 (the eighth year of Yongle), envoys were sent to China three times, and the Ming Dynasty also sent envoys to apply for jobs in 1405. In15th and16th centuries, businessmen from the southeast coast of China frequently exchanged with Luzon, and overseas Chinese began to live in Luzon. Spanish colonists invaded the northern Philippines in the16th century and met with stubborn resistance in Manila.
