When the Han Formation in Laoguanshan was excavated, more than 920 medical bamboo slips were unearthed in No.3 cemetery. Because of the age, the words on the bamboo slips are difficult to recognize with the naked eye. Archaeologists cracked some of them by infrared scanning.
Among them, "My Past" and "Bian Que" in medical bamboo slips are homonyms, which probably refer to Bian Que, the founder of pulse diagnosis. Archaeologists speculate that some unearthed medical bamboo slips may belong to the medical books lost by Bian Que School.
Expert interpretation
He said that Tianhui's medical bamboo slips Sixty Prescriptions of Diseases are similar to Mawangdui's Fifty-two Prescriptions of Diseases, but the names of diseases and prescriptions are different, which indicates that Chengdu has an independent medical school, and further confirms that Fu Weng, Guo Yu and other medical schools characterized by pulse diagnosis in Guanghan in the Eastern Han Dynasty are all descendants of the school. The painter of the meridian in Tomb No.1 can compare the meridian route recorded in the medical bamboo slips with the meridian route, which is more stereoscopic and vivid, and solves the practical problems in medical history.
Previously, medical documents had been unearthed from Mawangdui and Zhangjiashan Han tombs. The medical bamboo slips unearthed in Tianhui Town, Chengdu are the largest and most concentrated in the history of medicine, and have the closest relationship with medicine. There are many primitive and witchcraft elements in Mawangdui's medical books, and the medical prescriptions are unilateral and have great experience elements. The prescription of medical slips in Tianhui town of Chengdu is also more mature than that of Mawangdui medical books. The value of these medical slips in medical history is much higher than that of Ma Wangdui's medical books.
