Cultural relics unearthed in Gaochai

Gao Chai has many works. Fortunately, the Book of Chu Bamboo in Warring States, which caused a strong shock in the field of cultural archaeology and even the whole academic circle, is considered to have a lot to do with Gao Chai. These bamboo slips were discovered by Ma Chengyuan, a famous archaeologist and former curator of Shanghai Museum, in May 1994. Textual research by many experts and scholars confirmed that it was the original document of Confucianism, which was of great academic value. Up to now, seven volumes of Chu bamboo slips of Warring States collected in Shanghai Museum have been edited and published by Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House. Among them, Zi Xiao (* *14 Bamboo Slips) is a discussion between Zi Xiao (Gao Chai) and Confucius about the life consciousness of three generations of ancestors and Yao Shun's abdication, and it is believed that the author should be Gao Chai. In addition, the academic circles think that The Theory of Confucius' Poetry (about Confucius and his disciples discussing the Book of Songs, with 29 bamboo slips attached * * *) and The Drought in Luban (about recording the discussion between Confucius and his disciples after the drought in Luban, with 6 bamboo slips attached * * *) are also narrated by Zi Xiao.
