Since 1960, five tombs including Princess Li Xianhui of Yongtai, Prince Zhanghuai Li Xian, Prince Yide Li Chongrun, Zhongshu Ling Xue Yuanchao, and Youwei General Li Jinxing buried in the Qianling Mausoleum have been excavated, and three-color tombs were unearthed. Mural paintings such as "Palace Lady", "Polo Playing", "Guest Envoys", "Hunting Travel" and "Honor Tower" have become an important way for people to appreciate the painting art of the Tang Dynasty and study the architecture, clothing, customs, sports activities, etc. of the Tang Dynasty. After excavation and renovation, the tomb of Princess Yongtai, the tomb of Prince Zhanghuai and the underground palace of Prince Yide's tomb are open to the public all year round for Chinese and foreign tourists to visit. The museum’s collection mainly includes more than 4,000 cultural relics unearthed from 5 tombs with accompanying burials. The collection also includes a total of 4,598 cultural relics collected by the museum, including 27 first-class items. There is a 4.25 kilogram bronze mirror with patterns such as unicorns, dragons and phoenixes cast on it, as well as inscriptions.
