What will be the development and construction of Shuyuan Town in Pudong New Area of Shanghai?

First, fully tap the historical context of the academy town and build Chinese academy culture, including two parts, one is the tradition of respecting literature and valuing learning in the academy town itself, and the other is to build a national academy culture. Develop the academy town from an agricultural town into a Chinese academy culture town. Second, make full use of the geographical advantages of Shuyuan Town. Shuyuan Town near Dishui Lake is the back garden near the harbor. Therefore, the industrial planning and overall development planning of Shuyuan Town should be closely integrated with the development planning of Pudong, especially the development planning of the port. Third, make full use of the industrial characteristics of Shuyuan Town. Shuyuan Town need not stick to the development order of primary, secondary and tertiary industries, realize industrial dislocation with Lingang New Town, and fully tap its own cultural advantages and attractiveness. Fourthly, Shuyuan Town should take the 90th anniversary of its establishment as an opportunity to run all kinds of literature museums, such as Ye Xin Literature Museum. On this basis, through various (international) activities, the influence of Shuyuan Town at home and abroad will be improved.

Cultural construction should be considered together with economic construction. Cultural construction costs money, and the government should increase investment, but it also needs to develop rural industries. There are many characteristic agricultural products in Shuyuan Town, which will bring benefits if they are deeply processed and sold. Some intangible heritages also reflect the connotation of rural culture and are memorable homesickness. Rural cultural construction should have practical planning, down-to-earth and perseverance. The construction of rural culture should proceed from the local reality and respect the wishes of farmers.

Shuyuan Town is located in the southeast of Pudong New Area, on the north side of Lingang main city, with an area of 54 square kilometers and a population of about 75,000. This is a coastal town with agriculture as its main feature. After Nanhui District was merged into Pudong New Area in 2009, under the framework of "Greater Pudong", Shuyuan Town achieved rapid improvement in rural roads, water conservancy and other infrastructure construction and people's livelihood security after five years of new rural construction. After the development strategy of Lingang as "the main bearing area of Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center" was further clarified, Shuyuan Town ushered in new development opportunities.
