What's in the sea named after color?

The seas named after colors are: Red Sea, Yellow Sea, White Sea and Black Sea.

① Red Sea

Located between northeast Africa and Arabian Peninsula, the Red Sea is the hottest, youngest and most salty ocean in the world.

(2) Yellow Sea

The Yellow Sea is one of the waters adjacent to Chinese mainland. It starts from the mouth of the Yalu River in the north, reaches the north bank of the Yangtze River estuary in the south and reaches the East China Sea in the east, covering an area of about 400,000 square kilometers. The Yellow Sea is a shallow sea occupied by the continental shelf. Because the ancient Yellow River once flowed into the Yellow Sea from the northern coast of Jiangsu Province, it was named after its high sediment concentration and yellowish brown water color.

(3) White Sea

The White Sea is the waters of the Barents Sea in the Arctic Ocean extending to the Russian part of Europe. Deep into the northwest inland of Russia, it is the marginal sea of the Arctic Ocean. It is connected with the Barents Sea through a narrow throat channel, and the Arctic Circle passes through the White Sea. Due to the high latitude and cold climate, the white sea is covered with snow-white ice for about 200 days a year. Because of the strong reflection of sunlight on the ice, the sea water we see is white. In addition, the white sea is named White Sea because of its low organic matter content and white seawater.

(4) Black Sea

The Black Sea is an inland sea between southeastern Europe and Asia Minor Peninsula in Asia. It is named because of its dark water color and stormy weather. The Black Sea is connected with the Mediterranean Sea to the west and the Azov Sea to the north through Bosporus Strait, Marmarahoi Strait and Da Daniil Strait. The Black Sea is oval. The longest from east to west is 1 150km, and the widest from north to south is 6 1 1km, covering an area of 422,000km2.
