I. Origin of surname:
The first origin: from the surname Ji, from Jianjiang, the son of Emperor Levin of Zhuan Xu, which belongs to the name of the ancestor.
Levin, also known as Zhuan Xu or Emperor Zhuan Xu, is another outstanding leader after the Yellow Emperor. According to traditional records, he is the ancestor of China people. Guo Moruo, a famous historian, writer and master of Chinese studies, made a detailed textual research on the emperor craftsmen in the birthplace and burial place of Levin's family. He thought that the empty mountain was near Qufu, Shandong, and the emperor's craftsmen were in Puyang, Henan. Because his birthplace and burial place are in the East, he is from Dongyi.
It is recorded in the ancient books "Five Virtues" and "Zuo Wenzhu's Eighteen Years of Angong": "There are eight talented people in Levin's world, including Cang Shu, Rukai, Daoyan, Dalin, Jianting, Zhong Rong and Shu Da, and everyone in the world calls them eight kai."
Descendants of Gui Jiang take their ancestral surname as their surname, and then they are divided into two branches: Gui's and Jiang's, which are actually the same clan and are called authentic in history.
The classic "Notes on the Book of Rites" is marked with the word "drop": "don't drop two", drop one, and make it "long". Sima Qian, a great historian, recorded in Biographies of Historical Records of Sima Xiangru that "an industry leader is like a baby", and the word "long" in Han Dynasty was written as "drop". The famous historian and bibliographer in the Southern Song Dynasty commented: "Dragon, pronounced as' health'. Wang Duo, a famous scholar in Ming Dynasty, also noted: "Xia, pronounced as' dragon'. "That is, the pronunciation is lóng(ㄌㄨㄥˊ).
The second origin: from Ji surname, from Jin people in the Spring and Autumn Period, belonging to Juyi surname.
The Tang Dynasty sealed the Tang Dynasty, and his son was the marquis of Jin. After Xie succeeded to the throne, the marquis of Jin moved the capital to Jinshui, changed its name to Gold, and made its capital in Anyi Wenxi area, which is the sun of Jinshui. Jin called it "dragon".
During the Spring and Autumn Period, the State of Jin regarded "Chang" and "Xia" as festivals, so it could be called Xiacheng. Later, Qin Shihuang burned books and buried Confucianism there, not in Jiangxian County, Shanxi Province. This is recorded in the surname of A Thousand Commandments.
The State of Jin later died of the "three points of Jin" between the noble descendants Han, Zhao and Wei. Those who have fallen into the city take the place name as their surname, which is called Jiang's.
The third origin: from the Korean nation, from the descendants of Wang Jian of the Gugaoli dynasty on the Korean peninsula, belonging to the sinicization and surname change.
Wang Jianyou's descendants took "Heaven descended to inherit the world" as their surname (which may not be displayed in Korean), and those who moved to Northeast China and Inner Mongolia in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties simplified their surnames into Chinese characters according to the customs of the Han nationality, with a single surname (? ← Korean may not be displayed), pronounced jiàng(ㄐㄧㄤˋ).
The fourth origin: from the change of surnames of all ethnic groups, it belongs to the sinicization of changing surnames into surnames.
The ancestors of Zhuang nationality were originally Han nationality. In the early Ming Dynasty, he followed Marshal Mu and Mu Ying to pacify the southwest, and finally stayed in the southwest frontier, and then moved to Guangxi, where he married local Zhuang compatriots and gradually evolved into a Zhuang nationality.
The Manchu surname Jiang is an extra surname in the history book "Manchu Eight Banners", which belongs to a historical event. In the early years of the late Jin Dynasty, Nuerhachi, the Qing Taizu, conquered everywhere and unified the tribes of all ethnic groups in the northeast and northwest of China. Those who were captured and surrendered in the war were given surnames at will, and Jiang Shi was one of them. The Manchu pronunciation is Jiang Hala, which is jiàng(ㄐㄧㄤˋ).
Because of his low status, he was either a coat (domestic slave), cannon fodder for soldiers and brave men, or a handyman, so he was not included in Manchu surname classics.
