Research on Wang Wei's Life and Thought
There are many studies on Wang Wei's life. For example, Zhao Diancheng's Notes on Wang Youcheng's Collection (Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House 1984) introduces Wang Wei's life and life background, and records 42 1 poems of Wang Wei. Chen Tiemin's Chronicle of Wang Wei (selected from Wang Weixin's Theory, Beijing Normal University Press 1990) made a detailed textual research on the poet's life. Chen Tiemin accurately stated the time, time and place of Wang Wei's seclusion and official career in the Textual Research on Five Life Events of Wang Wei (ibid.). Chen Tiemin also speculated that Wang Weisheng was born in Wang Weisheng in 70 1 year (same as above).
Wang Wei's thought is complicated. He worshiped Buddhism all his life, especially in his later period, and his belief in Buddhism deepened. It is mentioned in On Wang Wei's Buddhist Belief (selected from Chen Tiemin's New Views on Wang Wei) that Wang Wei probably learned Buddhist thoughts from his own "needs". He was dissatisfied with the dark rule of the traitor's autocratic power and didn't want to go along with it, but he also had the weakness of feudal intellectuals, so he had the idea of escaping from reality and made Wang Wei convert to Buddhism.
