The present situation of China's world heritage

The present situation of China's world heritage is as follows:

1. China has made remarkable achievements in the protection of world heritage. At present, it has 0/4 world natural heritage sites/kloc-and 4 dual natural and cultural heritage sites, ranking first in the world.

2. According to the World Heritage Outlook 2020, an evaluation report of IUCN, an advisory body of the World Heritage Committee, the proportion of "good" and "better" world heritage sites is 63%, and that of China is 89%. The proportion of the world in critical situations is 7%, while that of China is zero. The assessment report shows that the overall protection situation in China is obviously superior to the international average level.

3. In terms of monitoring, although China has formed a relatively complete system of world heritage protection, management and monitoring, the monitoring work still needs to be strengthened. At present, the total monitoring funds of world cultural heritage sites in China only account for less than 1% of the protection funds, and have shown a downward trend since 20 19, which restricts the monitoring work.

To sum up, the present situation of China's world heritage shows remarkable protection achievements.
