How does TCM treat diabetes dialectically?

Diabetes belongs to the category of quenching thirst in traditional Chinese medicine. Diabetes is a disease characterized by drinking more, eating more, urinating more and losing weight. The name of quenching thirst was first seen in Huangdi Neijing. Zhang Zhongjing, a famous doctor in the Eastern Han Dynasty, divided thirst quenching into three types in Synopsis of the Golden Chamber: those who are thirsty and drink more are the best; Hungry is the consumer; Dry mouth and urine like ointment are symptoms of diarrhea.

Chinese medicine believes that improper diet, emotional imbalance, overwork, physical weakness and other factors will lead to diabetes. The pathogenesis of this disease is characterized by yin deficiency and dryness-heat, which is based on yin deficiency and marked by dryness-heat. The two are mutually causal: dryness-heat is aggravated by yin deficiency, and dryness-heat is aggravated by yin deficiency. The pathological changes of diabetes are located in lung, stomach and kidney, among which the pathological changes of kidney are the most important. If the patient's lungs are dry and yin deficiency, and the body fluid is dehydrated, there will be symptoms of thirst, thirst and excessive drinking; If the patient's stomach is hot and his ability to decompose Shui Gu is too strong, symptoms of overeating and hunger will appear. If the patient's kidney essence is insufficient and can't inhibit urination, there will be symptoms of frequent urination and turbid urine. If the patient has lung dryness, stomach heat and kidney deficiency, symptoms such as polydipsia, polyphagia and polyuria will occur at the same time.

Diabetes has a long course of disease, and the patient's condition often lasts for a long time, and eventually other diseases will occur due to both qi and yin injuries. For example, lung dryness and yin injury may lead to tuberculosis and other diseases; If the kidney yin is insufficient and the liver is not wet, diseases may be complicated, such as passerine, cataract and deafness. ; If the heat is too much, toxic substances will become pus, which may lead to furuncle, carbuncle and other diseases; If yin is dry and hot, semen is phlegm, and phlegm blocks meridians, it may be complicated with stroke, hemiplegia or gangrene.

Clinically, according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, diabetes is divided into lung heat and body fluid injury type, stomach heat excess type, kidney yin deficiency type and yin and yang deficiency type. So how to treat all kinds of diabetes?
