The book shows Yunnan's unique geographical beauty, majestic and steep plateau snow peaks, charming and colorful Hengduan Canyon, tropical rain forest that breeds life, crystal clear plateau lakes and endless rivers.
Second, it fully demonstrated the beauty of biodiversity in Yunnan and made contributions to further promoting beautiful Yunnan.
Biodiversity is the result of the development and evolution of life on earth after billions of years, and it is the material and environmental basis for the survival and development of human society.
Thirdly, it is another gift from Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences to the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity.
The 5th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 15) held in Kunming is a great contribution for China to shoulder the heavy responsibility of global biodiversity protection and fulfill its international obligations. It is also an important opportunity for Yunnan to tell the story of biodiversity, spread the concept of ecological civilization and show the achievements of ecological civilization construction to the international community.
Fourthly, it enriches the characteristic collection resources of the library of Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences.
The library is a treasure house of knowledge and a temple of learning. Edited and published by Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, two books, Collection of Historical Materials of Yunnan Biodiversity and World Garden Colorful Yunnan, show the origin and beauty of Yunnan biodiversity from two perspectives of history and reality respectively.
