Why can't ancient books modify words?

I am a Chinese language and literature major, and we will have four semesters of ancient literature classes, all of which are written in traditional Chinese. Our teacher once told us that as students majoring in Chinese language and literature, who will inherit our culture if we don't learn traditional Chinese characters? In the past, students used textbooks in simplified Chinese characters, but later they changed them into traditional Chinese characters, in order to let students learn our culture better.

So, I think the reason is the same. Keeping the traditional Chinese version is a kind of respect for ancient culture. Just like some people who love traditional culture now, they write in traditional Chinese characters because they love ancient culture from the heart. Secondly, some traditional Chinese characters cannot be replaced by simplified Chinese characters. I also have a deep understanding of this. When I study, I will look for simplified Chinese characters I don't know. As a result, I can't find them. There are many rare words in ancient books, so I still use the original font. So the simplified Chinese version is not all simplified Chinese characters.

It is not that modern technology does not support printing simplified version, but there are many versions. However, in the process of writing the simplified version, it is easy to add personal opinions, and different authorities may have different understandings and opinions, so the simplified version is less. Most importantly, in the simplified version, there will be some words with similar meanings, which are easy to be misused and will cause misunderstanding or ambiguity. Using traditional Chinese characters will not cause this problem.
