What do you mean by ghost shaving?
Ghost shaving is actually what is clinically called alopecia areata. Alopecia areata generally occurs in young adults. The main manifestation is the sudden appearance of round or oval hair loss areas on the scalp. The boundary is very clear, and the skin in the hair loss area is smooth, without inflammation, redness, pain, peeling, desquamation and scar. There are many reasons for alopecia areata, such as heredity, mental factors, emotional stress, immune inflammatory reaction, endocrine disorders and so on. It is generally believed that mental stress is the most important inducing factor. Most alopecia areata can be regenerated, but some patients will get sick again. Generally, the more extensive hair loss is in clinic, the longer the course of disease, and the less chance of regeneration.
