Musical instruments are the signal of dragon day's eyes, ears and public obedience. In temples, all kinds of Buddhist services, such as solemn Buddhist altar, prayer, dharma practice, sacrifice, dharma meeting, or Buddhist instruments such as rosary and Zhang Xi carried by the Buddha, are all ritual vessels. The following instruments and items are commonly used in the temple Dojo:

1. bell: an instrument used by temples to tell the time and gather people. According to its use, it can be divided into Brahma clock and summoning clock.

According to its use, it can be divided into: fasting drum (for eating), bathing drum (for bathing) and drum for chanting and Bai Fan. In addition, whenever the temple bells and drums are rung in the early morning, the police should be diligent and careful, which is called "morning bell and evening drum".

3. Clock: an instrument that makes sound when chanting in front of the Buddha. It has three meanings: surprise, joy and statement. Ringing a bell to support the gods is called ringing a bell. When esoteric Buddhism practices Buddhism, there will be sounds that shock the venerable or make the venerable happy.

Fourth, the board: an instrument that is struck when notifying or gathering. According to its shape, it is called cloud board, fish board and so on.

5. Bang: a buzzer used by Zen Forest to inform the public to take a bath and eat fast food. In the ancient Zen forest, it was often hung in the bathroom. Now most temples are hung outside the fasting hall to inform people to use fasting.

6. Wooden fish: percussion when chanting, and the voice of the public is consistent with its beat when chanting. In addition, chanting and beating wooden fish is based on the special habits of fish, that is, whether swimming in the water or standing still, their eyes are open and they don't rest. Buddhism, with its diligence, encourages monks to study hard and never slack off.

Seven, introduction: commonly known as small hands. A device with a button at the center of the bottom and a wooden handle, which is struck with a small hammer at the beginning and end of chanting Buddha to attract public attention.

Eight, Dagong: Dagong is a chin with a diameter of more than thirty or sixty centimeters. It was presided over by Na Wei, and all the abbots, guests, officials and other ceremonies were called three times.

Nine, when the child: Dharma will sing praise, it will be tapped with banyan eyes with hafnium for solemn rhythm, which is one of the offerings for half a month.

X. Hafnium: When the Dharma is to be praised, it is knocked with a clapper. Hafny is also called "flat-chested Hafny", because when not knocking, the two pieces are closed, and when knocking, they are held by six fingers and placed on the chest.

Xi。 Cymbals: cymbals and cymbals were originally musical instruments for entertainment, but later they were used to support the geisha music in Buddhism and became the musical instruments of Tota and Tuofo.

12. Ruyi: On the occasion of the lecture, the lecturer holds instruments to show good luck. Originally a claw stick in ancient India, it looked like a cloud or a hand. It is used to tickle the back, because it can make up the place that the hand can't reach, so it is called ruyi.

Thirteen, dust: it is animal hair, hemp and so on. Tie it into a bundle and add a long handle to kill mosquitoes. It was originally used by Indians to repel mosquitoes. In Buddhism, it means to get rid of troubles and dirt.

14. Incense board: a wooden board (shaped like a sword) used to warn practitioners in the Zen forest. It has many names according to different purposes: warning board and hard training; Used to punish those who violate the rules, it is called "clean rules" incense board; Used to alert people who are unconscious in meditation, it is called "Xunxiang" incense board; The user in Zen Seven is called "Jianxiang" incense board. Generally by the abbot, the first, west hall, hall, hall, Na Wei, guest, picket and other ministries.

15. rosary: rosary is used for counting when chanting Buddha. It is a symbol of merit, Buddha nature, compassion, kindness, auspiciousness, perfection and Buddha heart. Besides reminding yourself not to do bad things, it is also a beautiful decoration.

In addition to the above, there are banners, futons, hand stoves, incense burners, diamond pestles, rulers, pilu hats and so on. Are the objects of this instrument. The instrument has the functions of gathering people's time, improving police strategy, offering sacrifices to words and music, and solemn Dojo.
