Last week, the teacher asked us to make an item ourselves.
After I got home, I didn’t even know what to do. As I was thinking about it, I suddenly thought: I might as well be a caterpillar like "Art Creation".
Yes, that’s it.
If you want to do it with me, come on! The materials are very simple, including the paper cups we usually use for drinking water, needles and threads for sewing clothes, napkins, tape, watercolor pens and paints. After all preparations are done, you can start.
First put the cups together, but don’t put them too tightly. Only one-third of the cups should be put on them. At this time, use a needle and thread to sew the cup section by section. Remember not to sew too tightly. It is best to only sew two stitches so that the cup can move and bend freely.
After the cups are all sewn, it’s time to make the eyes. Make a ball of newspaper almost like a round ball, stick it with tape, wrap it tightly with a small piece of napkin, apply glue, and then paint it with black paint with a watercolor pen. Look, a pair of big, watery eyes are made.
Next it’s time to color the body. Use khaki advertising paint to paint the paper cups sewn together yellow, and paint a line of black on each cup. Just like that, a cute caterpillar is ready.
Tie a string to the head and back of the caterpillar, hold it in your hand and shake it up, down, left and right, just like a real caterpillar flying.
I looked at this "caterpillar" and felt happy.
As long as we use our imagination, we will surely be able to create better works.
