China started the Chinese translation project of the Tripitaka Ganjul for the first time, which will not only decipher the ancient Xiangxiong civilization on the snowy plateau, but also trace back the history of the interaction and integration of ancient China, ancient India, ancient Persia and even ancient Greece.
"It is the source of thousands of years of ancient Tibetan civilization, a' living fossil' passed down from generation to generation, and a family chain between ancient cultures." Yong Benben, an assistant Buddhist from China and the 43rd descendant of Zheluo Temple in Qamdo, Tibet, told the reporter that the main translator of the Ganjul Tripitaka.
According to the Social Development Research Center of China Academy of Social Sciences, the preliminary work of the Tibetan ancient books translation project is progressing smoothly, which is of great significance to promoting national cultural exchanges and national unity.
