Obviously, the dragon is our Teng. Why are Fuxi Nuwa snakes?

There is a dragon in the far east. Its name is the Yellow River. We grew up listening to this lyric. We always say that we are descendants of the dragon, because this wonderful creature, which only appears in ancient myths, is the totem of our Han people. All Han people think that we can represent us. I don't think anyone objects to this statement. So why are Nu Wa and Fuxi, ancestors of human beings, shaped like a snake in ancient mythology? Shouldn't they be dragons? Let me analyze the problem in detail.

One; Image error information

This is the most fundamental reason, because in some historical books and some fairy tales, in fact, Fuxi and Nu Wa have also appeared the image of the dragon head. I remember that such an image was unearthed in the earliest Han paintings and recorded in history, but we must understand that Fuxi and Nu Wa are, after all, figures in myths and legends. Just because they are legends, their images have gradually changed in people's word of mouth. In some national myths, they have become human heads and snakes, and this image was created by artists at that time, so it was handed down, which caused us to think that Fuxi and Nuwa should be such images.

Second; Time sequence inversion

In ancient legends and myths, Pangu created the world from the beginning, and dragons, as mythical animals, also came into being with Pangu's creation. Nu Wa and Fuxi are mythical figures that will appear after the creation of the world, so it must be noted here that the mythical animal dragon appeared before Fuxi and Nu Wa, and we regard the dragon as our totem because it follows Pangu. Nu Wa and Fuxi only created human mythical figures, not our totems. We respect them, but we respect our totem more. There is a sequence of time.

Third; The Origin of Dragon Totem

Dragon is the totem of our Han nationality. In fact, its origin is very complicated. You know, there used to be many tribes in the Yellow River valley, and each tribe had its own totem. These totems include cows, horses, snakes and other animals. With the passage of time, these tribes finally formed a tribe, and the totems of these tribes gradually merged their images, which formed the dragon totem, and the image of the dragon was gradually established at this time.
