Sulou refers to the classical gardens in Suzhou, also known as "Suzhou Gardens", which can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period and is one of the representative schools of classical architecture in China. The garden architecture style represented by Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, Master of Nets Garden and Huanxiu Mountain Villa has influenced the architectural style of the whole city in the south of the Yangtze River.

Suzhou Garden is a "literati garden" with profound cultural background. By using unique gardening techniques, pavilions, terraces, buildings, pavilions, springs, stones, flowers and trees are combined to create a harmonious living environment between man and nature in the city, which constitutes the overall characteristics of Suzhou classical gardens.

2. Zhouzhuang Town

Zhouzhuang Town, founded in the Northern Song Dynasty, is one of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River and enjoys the reputation of "the first water town in China". Zhouzhuang's unique cultural landscape is the treasure of China water town culture and Wu local culture. Walking into the ancient town, between the water lanes, the revetment, arch bridge, powder wall and Dahe are well preserved, and the well-preserved river surface has 14 ancient stone bridges built in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.

3. Tongli Ancient Town

Tongli Ancient Town is an ancient town with a long history. It has a typical water town style and won the reputation of "Little Venice in the East" with a small bridge and flowing water. The ancient town has beautiful scenery, surrounded by water, and every household in the town is connected by boat; The ancient town is divided into seven small islands by 15 river, like a pearl embedded in Tongli, Yeze, Nanxing, Pangshan and Jiuli five lakes.

There are many cultural relics in Tongli ancient town, especially gardens, temples, mansions and celebrities' former residences built in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Only the well-preserved Ming and Qing buildings reached 65,000 square meters, accounting for 6 1% of the total construction area.

4. Jinji Lake Scenic Area

Jinji Lake Scenic Area is the concentrated display and core area of "National Business Tourism Demonstration Zone", which complements the ancient garden city and becomes the Shuang Mianxiu of Suzhou tourism "ancient charm and modern style" together with * * *.

The total area of Jinji Lake is 1 1.5 square kilometers, of which the water area is 7.4 square kilometers. It is divided into five functional areas: cultural exhibition area, fashion shopping area, leisure food area, urban sightseeing area and central water scenic area. There are ten scenic spots, among which Jinji Lake Trail 14 km is connected in series, and there are five water trestles with different styles.

5. Shajiabang Yushan Shang Hu Tourist Area

Shajiabang Yushan Shang Hu Tourist Area consists of three scenic spots, namely Shajiabang, Yushan and Shang He Lake. It is based on the water culture of Jiangnan Mountain and integrates humanities, ecology and leisure. Yushan is a national forest park, named after Yu Zhong, the ancestor of Wu, and was buried here in Shang and Zhou Dynasties. It is an important birthplace of Wu culture in China.

Shang Hu and Yushan depend on each other, so it was named after Jiang Shang lived here for fishing in seclusion at the end of Shang Dynasty. The lake is full of wetlands, and herons and birds fly. Shajiabang is famous for its Beijing opera Shajiabang, which has formed a revolutionary traditional education area, Hongshi folk culture village and other scenic spots. Shajiabang Tourist Resort is a national demonstration base for patriotism education.
