Readers need to log in to OPAC, the homepage of the National Library, with a reader card, to retrieve the books they need, enter the Chinese library, North China Chinese periodical library, foreign language book sub-library and foreign language periodical library in the collection area, and click "Reservation". After the appointment dialog box pops up, click OK to realize the basic collection.
Pick-up location: the reading area of Chinese books is on the north side of the fourth floor of the North District, the checkout counter of western books is on the west side of the third floor of the North District, and the Chinese periodical area is on the south side of the fourth floor of the North District. Readers must send an appointment request before 4: 00 pm from Sunday to Friday in order to reserve books and periodicals in the library. If the appointment cannot be made, a one-time liquidated damages shall be paid to 0.3 yuan/Ben; Reading the basic collected documents must be returned before the same day (closing). If you don't return the books after picking them up on the same day, you must pay the overdue fee of 5 yuan/book in one lump sum.
During the opening of the extended library, our library implemented the management mode that all service outlets handled the procedures of borrowing and returning books independently, that is, readers returned books wherever they borrowed them. The borrowing and returning procedures of Chinese books are completed in the Chinese book lending room in the South District, and the borrowing and returning procedures of foreign books are completed in the foreign book lending cashier desk on the second floor of Zizhutang in the South District. In addition, the 24-hour self-service book return office located at the east gate of the main library can also return Chinese books with certain specifications.
When the library is closed, it provides 24-hour return service for borrowed Chinese books. Readers can return the books borrowed from the Chinese book lending room at the self-service book return office at the east gate of the South District of the General Library with their reader's ID card. The returned books shall not exceed 6 cm in height and 32 cm in width. Books borrowed cannot be returned during the closing period. Readers should return their books to the cashier in the basement on the fourth floor of the North District before 5 pm every day.
