The funeral culture in ancient China is very rich. With the progress of archaeological technology in recent years, a large number of valuable ancient tombs can be better preserved and even visited by tourists. There are some famous mausoleum museums here.

Jiayuguan Xincheng Weijin Brick Mural Museum

From 1972 to 79, more than 1000 Wei and Jin tombs were discovered in Chengdong New Town of Jiayuguan, which is known here. Underground gallery? It is said that archaeologists have excavated 18 tombs, 8 of which are painted brick mural tombs. At present, Tomb 6 and Tomb 7 are open to the public, and Tomb 5 can be seen in Gansu Provincial Museum.

Here, the painted bricks of tombs are distributed around the tombs, and the painting style is simple and interesting, mostly one brick and one painting, and some of them appear in the form of cartoons with rich content. Although several paintings are simple, many of them reflect deeply and accurately. Every painting is a portrayal of real life at that time. There is a small hole at the top of the middle room with a steel wire hanging on it, which was originally used to hang oil lamps. The grave digger lit an oil lamp in front of the tomb and sealed it with seven layers of bricks. After the oil lamp burns all the oxygen in the tomb, the tomb naturally forms a vacuum state, so that murals and antiquities are not oxidized and well preserved.

Wang Jian's Royal Mausoleum

Yongling Museum is the tomb of Wang Jian, the founding emperor of Shu before the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period in China. When the Tang Dynasty perished in 907 AD, Wang Jiansui occupied Chengdu as the emperor, with the title of Great Shu, which was called Qian Shu in history. The burial soil of Wang Jian's tomb is round. This is the only tomb built on the ground among the ancient imperial tombs in China so far.

Although the tomb was stolen, fortunately, the structure of the tomb was not destroyed. Wang Jian's coffin was placed in the middle of the tomb, and the east, south and west sides of the coffin bed were carved with the statue of Twelve Lux. They supported the coffin seat with strange shapes, all the same. Twenty-four maiko reliefs on the east, south and west sides of the coffin seat, with different postures, are the only complete images of court bands in the Tang Dynasty unearthed in China.

Museum of Nanyue King's Tomb in Western Han Dynasty

The tomb of Nanyue King was discovered in1June, 983. Its owner is Zhao Qian, the second generation king of South Vietnam in the Western Han Dynasty. Although the overall area of the tomb is not large, it is extremely difficult to build and its grade is extremely high. This tomb was built by hollowing out Xianggang Mountain and taking it as the mausoleum. The whole tomb was halfway up the mountain, and it was not discovered until the construction workers leveled the top of the mountain. Yinshan Yuewangling

Bozhou Yang ruled Bozhou (now Zunyi, Guizhou) for 755 years from the end of the Tang Dynasty to the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and was a famous chieftain in southwest China.

Yang charm three is the thirteenth generation toast. This tomb is buried by husband and wife. The tomb is built with white sandstone strips, and the stone is white. It is divided into two burial chambers, left and right, which are interconnected and have a front chamber and a back chamber. This kind of tomb where husband and wife are completely equal is rare. Because it was stolen in the early years, there are few funerary objects left, but each tomb is covered with exquisite sculptures, which is a representative sculpture museum of the Song Dynasty in southwest China.

Xuzhou Guishan Han Tomb

Guishan Han Tomb is the husband-and-wife burial tomb of Liu Zhu, the sixth generation king of Chu in the Western Han Dynasty, ranking second only to the mausoleum. Digging stones halfway up the mountain to repair the tomb almost hollowed out the whole mountain. The tomb of the king of Chu is in the south, and the tomb of his wife is in the north, which is connected by a pyramid-shaped mound. * * There are 15 graves with matching size and clear priority. Twenty-six stone plugs weighing 6-7 tons were placed in the north-south tunnel, and even a coin could not be inserted in the gap. But unfortunately, even so, the tomb of the king of Chu was stolen.

Interestingly, a life-size shadow is clearly displayed on the north wall of the tomb of the King of Chu. It's wearing Hanfu and Emei Bo Dai. What's its name? King Chu welcomes guests? . What is puzzling is that this phenomenon gradually formed after the tomb was officially opened, but there was no trace of water seepage outside the shadow. This phenomenon has not been solved so far.
