For me, if I can't write in the book while reading, I will feel very uncomfortable. I usually do this when reading:
1. Mark different "information" with different colors, for example, red indicates key points, black indicates theory, green indicates "fresh" ideas, blue indicates conclusions, and records some ideas. I call it the "four-color pen" reading method (I will share it with you in detail when I have the opportunity), which is the core of my note-taking method;
2. Mark with different symbols, which is convenient for memory and sorting. Common symbols, such as straight lines for conclusion, curves for emphasis, "heart" for feeling, "brain" for thinking, "smile" for harvest (knowing smile), checkmarks for reminding attention, triangles and five-pointed stars for emphasis, etc.
3. "Record" the important ideas and rewarding and inspiring contents in the book by folding for easy reference;
4. The above methods of "color", "symbol" and "folding" have three purposes. One is to "mark" and classify one's own opinions, important theories and thoughts with different meanings to facilitate memory; Second, it is convenient for quick check, and the key points in the book can be obtained directly through folding and symbols, which is also convenient for review; Third, these notes are part of my reading and have personal significance;
5. Record your feelings, thoughts and experiences at any time in the margin of the book;
6. Make an "exercise list", that is, on the last page of the book, record what you need or can practice and use at the "present" moment, focusing on actions and common contents, such as:
* I feel that the author's point of view is very good, and I want to try my idea (something to do right away);
* Current work, life and study are inspiring, recorded and put into practice;
* Solve a problem you once encountered in the reading process and record the solution you thought of;
* The author's point of view is doubtful and needs to be verified;
* Others, such as using the last page of the book as your "notebook".
On the first page, I record and practice reading knowledge. Let me give you a few personal examples:
* At the end of last year 10, when I read the book Creativity is a transaction with the soul for less than 50 pages, I began to practice the author's Morning Notes. By the end of June 20 14, I had written 245 articles, one every day, without interruption;
* Before I finished reading Strange Life, I began to try his "time statistics method", using excel to make statistics, analysis and optimization of my own time, recording methods and statistical tables and referring to other time management methods to continuously improve and form my own time statistics method;
* When reading the book "Wechat Controlling Wechat" written by teachers such as @ Ye Qiu @ Xiao Qiushui, I immediately opened my official WeChat account: Northern Beard (micro signal: ibeifanghuzi) (opened on June 28th, 2065438+03) to try some strategies and share some experiences on a regular basis. By July 28th, 20 14, I had shared nearly one hundred articles.
* When reading Project Management in China, I immediately reflected on my current work and adjusted its shortcomings;
* In addition, notes and exercises are not only in reading, but also in listening to lectures. 20 12 when listening to @ Ye Qiu and @ Xiaoqiushui talking about "fragmentation" time management methods, how many friends still remember what @ Ye Qiu and @ Xiaoqiushui said and are still practicing to improve their time management efficiency?
Of course, these are just some methods I often use when reading. Besides, I will do these things while reading or taking notes:
1. Organize your notes into words: record your experiences, experiences and ideas in the blank space of the book, and then organize them into notes to form reading notes or book reviews.
2. Making mind maps: used to organize, record and think about the contents of the book. You can do it alone or draw it directly in the book. The key to a map is not what the book says, but what I have learned from it and what my thinking is.
3. Pay attention to your feelings. What matters is not what you read, but what you learn from it. If you feel it, write it down immediately, even if it is only a few words;
4. To make a summary, not all the contents should be selected. Just pick up all the most core, important, useful and inspiring parts in the book, and remember that "I only take one scoop after drowning 3 thousand" is enough;
5. Re-emphasize: I used to write down the exercise list on the last page of the book, and then sort it out, practice and summarize it until it was really clear and mastered;
6. PPT with reading notes: another way to improve the knowledge in the book, think with PPT! PS: But I'm ashamed that I haven't done this yet. I'll try to do some in the future. For details, please refer to Sina Weibo: @ Reading Notes PPT.
7. Write book reviews. I usually write long and short book reviews to see my mood and feelings when reading. Don't force yourself unless you have to write;
8. "Disassemble" the book, not only reading it by yourself, but also disassembling the contents of the book into something that others can learn and sharing it. For example, when I was reading the book "Professional Survival", I wrote the article "Become an Expert in Your Specialty" based on my secretary's reading summary and experience, which was welcomed by many friends, and the conversion rate of pictures and texts sent to WeChat reached 2678.57%, even I liked it.
9. Sharing online, I usually share some experiences, feelings and thoughts when I was studying on my WeChat public platform: Northern Beard (micro signal: ibeifanghuzi), Sina Weibo @ Northern Beard and Sina Blog (with the same name as Weibo, also called Northern Beard) will also post some as appropriate, so as to share opinions and make friends with books;
10. Recording on Douban, I registered Douban at the beginning of 20 1 1, and actually it was officially used last year. Now I have recorded some "marks" of my reading on Douban, which can be used as my "reading diary".
1 1. Discuss with others and generally read books. If you think the book is not bad, you will generally share it with friends and colleagues to exchange some views and feelings;
12. Join a book club or a book salon. During the reading club, you will find that different people think differently when reading the same book. This kind of thinking collision can often bring more gains to people, such as Kevin? Kelly's Out-of-Control Reading Club and Xu Zhibin, the author of Social Dividend hosted by Xishan Reading Club, gained a lot, learned something that was not in the book, and more importantly, spread their own thinking, not only exchanged ideas, but also made friends. Why not?
Finally, notes are not the end of reading, but the beginning of another kind of "reading". Learn to think in reading, practice in thinking, summarize in practice, and share after summarizing. More important than taking notes is the footprint of our actions. In practice, we "read" and form our own unique feelings and experiences. This is the ultimate goal of taking notes and the real king. Come on, book lovers!
